Peaceful, no?

Karma, after her little adventure into the supermarket, left that place as quick as she could. Being around people made her uneasy, even though they were humans. Looking about, Karma spotted the Forest. When in doubt... she thought softly to herself. Unconsciously checking to make sure she had her weapons and Kings Water, Karma stepped through the first line of trees, and soon lost sight of the street behind her. I wonder whats in the heart of the forest.. she thought, and then off she went.

A tall man walked down the path, two nightcrawlers on either side of him. His eyes were red, and seemed to glow in the coming moonlight. The sun was almost set, and he thought it was a nice time to take a walk. Maybe kill a few straggling humans.
In his hand was a onyx colored blade. It was extremely sharp, and it's tip glistened. He smirked. "I smell fresh blood." he announced. The Nightcrawlers immediately growled and snarled hungrily, and ran off into the forest, directly towards Karma.

Karma was shaken out of her own world of thoughts by the sound of bushes and trees rustling up ahead of her on the path she was slowly walking on. The noise caused her to stop in her tracks and tense up. Curious of what was making the sound but having horror movie scenes flicker in her head at the same time, Karma slowly took a step back, her eyes never leaving the spot.

Out in the woods for a shadow hunt, Minnie froze when she noticed a shape moving by. She relaxed slightly when she realized it was only a girl, but immediately tensed again when she heard the shadows headed towards the girl. Minnie tightened her grip on her bow and pursued the girl, hidden by the trees, hoping to help if the problem arose.

Suddenly, two nightcrawlers jumped at her. Lunan was still standing farther back on the path, waiting for them to return.

Karma jumped when the nightcrawlers came at her, but she somehow managed to pull out her two daggers by her side, laced with aqua regia, out of her belt and set herself, waiting for the nightcrawlers to draw closer. A thought flashed through her head for a moment, but she pushed it away. Now was not a time to waste her arrows.

They both attacked at the same time, which was clever for nightcrawlers. One attacked her legs, while the other jumped and stabbed at the air.

An arrow flew from the trees, hitting the nightcrawler at the girl's legs, causing it to dissipate into the air. Out of trees stepped a girl with her curly brown hair drawn back in a high ponytail, a determined look on her face. She didn't say anything, not wanting to distract Karma from the other nightcrawler.

When the nightcrawler attacking her legs disappeared, Karma let out a silent sigh. I'm not alone here.. With that thought, and the fact that she could now move her legs without fear of them being attacked, Karma slashed her daggers at the nightcrawler slicing high, towards her neck. The tip, laced with aqua regia, nicked it in the chest.

It dissipated. After a few moments, Lunan sensed his comrade's deaths. He sighed, and started forward.

Minnie stepped from the trees, her bow already armed again, but now it was lowered. She approached the girl she had helped and held out a hand to shake.
"Minnie Williamson," she introduced herself, her accent barely noticeable with the words she said. "I'm afraid that wasn't the last of them."

Karma shook it. "Karma Lynn, and I'm sure it isn't. I want to know why two nightcrawlers were doing in this forest though.. Usually they follow someones orders.."

"So, what are you hunting?" Morose asked the man form her perch in a tree as he walked into the woods after the two Nightcrawlers

Minnie turned to look up the path.
"Then he must be where they came from," she stated simply, tensing her muscles in preparation for an attack.

Lunan stopped in his tracks, not looking at the girl. "Were you the one that killed my pets?" he asked.

"Nope," she said simply, as though she was talking to a fellow human, even though she knew he wasn't, "I sat up here and watched, though"

Karma shook her head slightly. "I think we should just leave the forest.." she mumbled softly. Her body was tense, and didn't want to move either as she stared at the place the nightcrawlers came from.

Minnie didn't want to leave the forest, but she could see how uncomfortable Karma was. What she really wanted was to kick some shadow butt. Sighing, she lowered her bow.
"Alright, we'll go," she agreed begrudgingly.

Lunan grimaced. "I'll have fun killing you." he said. At once he disappeared.

A smirk grew on Morose's face, "You shadows are all too fun!" she chuckled as she shifted in her tree

Though, with blinding speed, Lunan appeared from behind her, kicking her off the branch. He crossed his arms. "Do you not know who I am, feeble human?" he asked.

Karma understood the look on her face, and took a breath. "We can go look in the direction they came from before we leave, if you'd like.." she said slowly.

"No," Minnie said. "It would be a reckless thing to do. We would need planning to do that."

Morose drew Rustic out in a flash, using his tip to take the blow from the fall, then quickly placing him back in his sheath. She stood looking up at him with a smile on her face, "Not a clue!" she called up to him

Lunan smiled. "No point in telling you. You will just die soon anyhow."
He jumped down, a blast of shadow energy breaking his fall. He rushed forward, slashing with his sword.
