Scavenging (Now full)

Zex walked from house to house, searching for supplies.

Along down the street appeared a rather average girl who was also searching through the houses, but for more specific reason. Not only was she short on food and water, but she was also in dire need of some kind of human contact. Although, Englewood wasn't very far away from Aurora, she had no idea if there were any survivors here or not. It was only when she came to a house that seemed to be just recently opened did she stop and rest her hands on her hips where her twin revolvers sat. Taking a deep breath, she slowly walked into the dark house. "Hello?" She called out, prepared for some kind of shadow to jump out at her like they have been doing ever since she left her home town.

Zex heard Reina call out and pulled out both deagles, closed the closet which he found some bread and water bottles in, and slowly moved towards the door.

In the dead quiet house, all Reina could hear with the soft footsteps of Zex who was slowly walking towards her. Quickly pulling out one of the revolvers, she aimed it in front of her and looked around frantically to find the source of the noise. "If you're a shadow come on out you scaredy cat! I didn't know you freaks could be afraid of a simple little human!" She mocked with a smirk until she finally saw the boy looming towards her.

"Oh. You arn't some really smart Shadow. Need some food or water?" asked Zex as he looked at Reina. He then put his deagles away motioned for her to come inside.

Finally recognizing the boy as and actual human, Reina put her weapon away slowly and nodded, walking towards Zex with a sense of excitement. He was the first human she had seen in weeks. Months, even. Heck, she didn't know how long it had been. "Food and water sound fantastic!" She replied, looking around hungrily for any source of food items.

Zex walked over and opened the door of the closest, revealing the bread and water. He then picked up a loaf of bread and a bottle of water, and handed them to Reina. Zex proceeded to pick up his own bread and water afterwards.

As soon as the loaf of bread hit Reina's hands, she quickly tore into it, faster than she ever had eaten in her life. Her stomach was a mess from lack of food over her small journey and the lack of water had her throat burning. After taking a few bites of the nutritional yummy goodness, she opened the bottle of water and nearly dumped it all down her throat. Finally pleased, she calmed down and glanced at Zex. "Thanks a lot for all of t his," She told him. "I'm Reina Johnson. Who are you?"

"I'm Zex Silver," he said as he ate. He heard a noise outside, something like growling. He quickly ducked down and pulled out his deagles, one aimed near the doorway, the other near a window across the room.

Reina immediately followed her host, rolling on the floor until she could find shelter behind a counter in the kitchen. She quickly pulled out her twin revolvers, both being held in her hands in preparation of anything to happen. She had been in almost this exact situation more than once, so she kind of knew what to expect, yet there could always be another shocking move that shadows could pull. "It's--" She started but stopped, suddenly thinking it wasn't that great of an idea to try to converse at the moment with some kind of creature lurking just outside the house.

Zex saw the shadow, a hunter, walk past a window across from him. Even though the window was shattered, he didn't shoot because he feared the gunshot would alert any nearby shadows, for his deagles lacked silencers. He instead moved over to the counter with Reina, it being the best place to shoot from if need be.

A flash of red streaked down from the rooftops. There was the slash of a sword and the shriek if the shadow as the blow hit it's target. "What a mess..." said a girls voice to no one in particular. There was the crunching of glass as she entered threw the broken window. "Alright, show yourself," she called out, "I saw you come in here!"

Reina took a nervous glance at Zex before taking a deep breath. There was another human? Or was this a trick? "I don't want to take any chances." She finally replied after what seemed like a long period of silence. "Put your weapons away, we will do the same, and then we will show ourselves. We got a deal?" Reina hoped that her terms would be met as her grip om the guns tightened.

"Whatever..." she sighed. With a flick of her wrist she slowly slid her sword back in it's sheath, making a small click on contact. "It's done!" she called out

Zex put his deagles away and called out to Reina. "Same here!"

"Now, could you kindly show yourselves?" she asked in an annoyed tone

With a small grin, Reina quietly put her revolvers away back into their resting place on her hips. Turning around so that she now faced the counter instead of her back, she rose to her feet until she was standing straight up and facing the girl who had killed the shadow just outside the house. "Hello there," She said with a smile. "What's your name?"

Zex stood up with Reina, now able to see the girl, and noticed the sheathed sword at her side. "Hey."

OOC: swords on her back

IC: "Morose," she answered simply to the girl. She looked at the two of them, not completely convinced that they were Human, but how else could she find out? "And you two are...?"

Reina turned to take another glance at Zex before turning back to Morose. "I'm Reina Johnson. It's nice to meet you!" She said with a large grin on her face, yet she couldn't help but have a mutual suspicion for the new girl standing in front of them. She killed a shadow, yes, but that didn't mean anything. Esepcially in this world where she thought that shadows were nothing but a figure on the sidewalk or pavement where light couldn't reach because of her body.

"Nice to see you too, Miss Cheerful..." she said with a roll of her eyes. Her head turned and she looked at the young boy expectantly, awaiting his name too

"Zex Silver. Do you need any food or water?" Zex asked as he looked over at the bread and water.

"Why would I give up the chance?!" she chuckled, approaching the two with caution

Giving Morose an instinctive glare, Reina shrugged it off and returned to her nice little space of bread and water. The taste of both was still amazing, even after the second time eating it. It was like she couldn't get enough. "It's really good!" She said with a smile filled with bread.

"Heh," Morose slightly laughed at the sight, "Try not and choke Reina, cuz I'm not up for saving your skin a second time today..." she said, a hint of a joke in her tone
