"Damn!" Morose hissed as her bright red hair snagged on a branch. She tugged it free and carried on her journey. The teen pushed open the door of the cemetery, which eerily creaked causing her to smile, perfect... Morose laid herself on top of two tomb stones, enjoying the view of the stars at night, although it was a little different from her views from rooftops

"I don't believe the owner of those graves would like the fact that you're laying on them." A voice said. A girl walked through the gates silently, walking slowly towards the red haired girl.

Morose narrowed her greenish-red eyes at the girl. "I've had run-ins with shadow /humans before, and don't really want it to happen again at the moment..." she explained. "So, what brings you here?" she asked the girl

"It is peaceful here." Karma stated simply. "Why are YOU here?"

Karma nodded slowly. "Too bad you didn't fall.." she muttered softly to herself, taking in her surroundings.

Morose laughed at her words. "I learned to climb by skyscrapers, I don't fall..." she taught the other girl. "The name's Morose, you?"

"I don't think money matters much anymore." Karma said, laughter laced with her words. "If we could pay for the shadows to leave, that would have happened already."

"I've ran into around 5 so far." Karma replied. "They're all over at the supermarket on top of the hill."

Karma couldn't help it. she laughed too. This girl was starting to grow on her. "The people up there have absolutely no guidance though." she said, "And we need more people before we can actually protect ourselves against the shadows."

Morose thought of her words, "maybe we should help them out, since we need to stick together if we want to survive..." she said, her last words catching in her throat. In the back of her head she was screaming at herself for saying that she should help the hopeless, or really anyone for nothing in return...

Karma raised an eyebrow. someone doesn't mean what she says.. she thought to herself, but didn't voice her thoughts outloud. Instead, she said, "What happened to your family?"

Morose smiled as she drew out a sword with a 4 foot blade and ridging near the hilt, "This here is Rustic, my closest friend." she introduced the sword
